  • Start in downward dog. Step one foot forward between your hands.
  • Inhale and raise your torso upright, sweeping your arms up and wide to the sides with the palms facing in.
  • Hold for a few breaths.
  • Exhale and release the torso back down, and the hands back to the floor. Step the foot back to down dog.
  • Hold for a few breaths, then repeat on the other side.

This pose opens the anahata (heart) chakra and the manipura (solar plexas) chakra.
